Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Job Description:

The General Manager is an experienced executive who improves efficiency and increases profits through the strategic and tactical direction of Sales & Marketing, Fulfillment and Customer Service. This position may require occasional local and overnight travel to trade shows and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operations.
  • Develop and direct the management of the company’s fulfillment/distribution center that will ensure fast order processing, accurate inventory control, proper and timely receipt/stocking of goods, cost-efficient shipping direct to customers and effective processing of returns.
  • Manage logistics, outbound transportation processes and negotiate parcel freight programs.
  • Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Develop and direct the management of the customer call center to ensure customer satisfaction, improved call efficiency, low abandonment, increased revenue through promotional programs and improved employee product knowledge and training.
  • Implement processes and systems that will generate higher productivity and revenues.
  • Ensure that all operational systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance and utilization.
  • Select and maintain order management systems, data warehousing, e-commerce infrastructure and manage Web development.
  • Oversee all company telecommunication systems and support.
  • Ensure that company is migrated toward technology offerings that will generate higher efficiency, enhanced reporting and tracking capabilities and substantial ROI.
  • Interact regularly with executive team and individual department heads to ensure that company’s operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and presents suggestions to President for consideration.
  • Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency
  • Proactive on loss prevention
  • Actively interacting with Inventory Management and Product availability
  • Cash management; overseeing daily duties of accounting functions
  • Familiarity with multi-state sales tax; ensuring licenses in place and up to date
  • Actively engaged in creating new business
  • Ability to help prioritize them projects
  • Ability to hold people accountable; manage various personalities and departments
  • Oversees all company activities – Hands on

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 1-3 years in a call center environment, focused on customer service and support
  • Critical thinker with excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving ability who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrives in a fast moving, hands-on environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency
  • Experience with CRM applications
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • High energy level, positive, and enthusiastic

  • Experience managing a distribution center
  • Familiar with GMP
  • Familiar with FDA requirements related to dietary supplements
