What is AREDS 2?
AREDS 2 (Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2) is a large study run by the National Eye Institute that identified a specific combination of nutrients (vitamins C and E, zinc, copper, lutein and zeaxanthin) studied for macular health in older adults. Our AREDS 2 formulas follow that nutrient profile. Ask your eye doctor whether it fits you.
What does "zinc-free" mean?
Some people are advised by their doctor to avoid extra zinc because of their health history or genetics. Our zinc-free formulas keep the other nutrients and leave zinc out. Ask your doctor which version is right for you.
I have trouble swallowing pills.
