Your health information and this website
Lunovus sells eye vitamins and eye care products that do not need a prescription. This website is built so that we collect as little about you as possible, and no medical information at all.
What this site does not do
- It does not ask for, store or transmit medical records, diagnoses, prescriptions or other protected health information.
- It does not use advertising trackers or social-media buttons. Two outside services are used: Google Analytics, to count visits (you can turn it off with Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page), and Vimeo, which plays our short videos with Do Not Track turned on, so it sets no tracking cookies. Every font, image and script apart from those is served from our own site.
- It does not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
What we collect, and why
- When you send a message or place an order: your name, phone, email and shipping address, so we can reply and ship. Nothing else is required.
- When you shop: checkout runs on the Lunovus store, which uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) and never shows us your full card number.
- On this site: standard web-server logs (page address, time, and the network address of your device), kept for security and deleted on a schedule.
Please keep health details out of our forms
Our forms ask only for contact information. Please do not type medical history, conditions or prescription details into a message. If you have a question about your eyes or which product is right for you, talk to your eye doctor, or call us at 205-969-8500 and we will point you to the right person.
Doctors and practices
Eye care practices that use Doc2Home have their own agreement with Lunovus covering how patient information is handled. Patients should ask their practice about its privacy practices.
